After the successful launch of the bezel-less Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Mobile has put all of its efforts on the Upcoming flagship phone the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Today a report from Korea suggests that the launch date of the upcoming Galaxy Note 8 may be closer contrary to earlier rumors. Earlier reports suggested that Samsung might delay the release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to the first week of September.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date
The recent report claims that an unknown Samsung Electronics official said that the Galaxy Note 8 will be unveiled at an Unpacking Event in New York, USA on August 26. Another publication from Korea ETNEWS reported that the phone will be released during the last two weeks of August so the August 26 date may be real. Reuters and The Korea Herald also points to the third or fourth week of August. It should be noted that last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was released on August 2 to make sure the phone had a month breathing space before the release of the iPhone 7. Apple has announced that it will release the iPhone 8, iPhone 7S and the iPhone 7S Plus in September so Samsung might want to release the Note 8 just before the iPhone 8.
Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Leaked Specs
Another report suggests that Samsung will introduce a dual camera module for the first time in a Samsung device. The Apple iPhone 7 and major Android OEMs have already introduced phones with dual camera setups. The phone is said to feature a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED panel slightly larger than the 6.2-inch infinity display of the Galaxy S8. The AI assistant called Bixby which debuted with the Galaxy S8 will also be there along with an IRIS scanner. Listening to the criticism of the reviewers and customers the fingerprint scanner has been repositioned to the middle of the phone below the camera, unlike the Galaxy S8 where the fingerprint scanner was placed to the side of the camera. And yes, the phone will be bezel-less just like the Galaxy S8.
Though the information comes straight from the Samsung home country South Korea we are still not sure if the information is correct.
