Sony has been busy since the start of the year 2017 releasing the Android 7.0 Nougat update to its latest flagship phones. It has pushed Android 7.0 Nougat update to entire Sony Xperia Z5 family earlier this week. Today it has started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to Sony Xperia Z+ and Sony Xperia Z+ Dual smartphones.

The Nougat update rolling out to Sony Xperia Z+ and Z+ Dual is the same build that the Xperia Z5 family got recently. Though the Build number is the same it is not entirely the same. Don’t expect Xperia X exclusive features to come to the Z+ or Z+ Dual like manual controls in the camera app and X Lockscreen.

Except for the Sony Xperia Z5 exclusive features, the new firmware version brings with it some great features like multi-windows support, a self-timer button for the front camera, and the latest Xperia Home launcher with Google Now integration. Sony is also claiming an improvement in battery life but we have to check that out for ourselves.

Currently, the update is rolling out to a portion of Sony Xperia Z+ and Z+ Dual device, however, all owners of Xperia Z+ and Z+ Dual will be getting the update in the next few days. If you own a Sony Xperia Z+ or a Z+ Dual smartphone, you should check out manually for the update if you haven’t enabled the update notification.

If you have received it, kindly share your experience with the Sony Xperia Z+ running Android Nougat with us and our visitors in the comments section below. How do you feel about the new update? where do see improvements? How is it affecting the battery life? what extra features does it bring?
