Sony’s brand has always had its own design style, especially in the field of mobile phones. Sony phones have a high degree of recognition compared to other brands. However, the appearance of Sony mobile phones has not changed for many years. While today, most of the brands have already launched full-screen mobile phones with minimal bezels including Apple, Sony has not followed up.
Seeing such a huge welcome by the phone lovers to the bezel-less phones Sony might have realized that they need to make a change. Earlier we saw an alleged real-life photo of Sony’s upcoming phone with extremely thin bezels. While cutting the unnecessary bezels are welcomed, the phone looked terrible.
Now someone has created concept renders based on the same photo and other leaks and rumors. The renders look quite good. As you can see in the images below, the chin has vanished. The side bezels have almost disappeared. The top bezel is very minimal, just enough to hold the speaker and the necessary sensors. The overall design looks very familiar, It’s a Sony Xperia XZ with reduced bezels.
The back of the phone is also similar to that of the Sony Xperia XZ 2017. The only difference is the inclusion of a dual-camera setup and an inverted flash module.
As for the specs, the phone which earlier leaked on Geekbench shows that it will come with Snapdragon 845 SoC inside along with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone will feature at 12+12MP dual camera setup at the back while the front camera is expect to be a 15MP one.
As for the software, the phone will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. While a 3130 mAh battery will keep the lights on which is a little below the 2017 standard.
Note: These are third party renders based on the leaks and rumors and should be taken with a handful of salt.
