Although the Apple iPhone X has been just released, the speculations circulating the next iPhone X model has already been started. According to some earlier rumors from Bloomberg, 9to5Mac, and CNET, Apple may release three iPhone models next year in addition to the updated model of the iPhone X.
Apple Will Release Three iPhone X Models
The Reputable phone analyst from KGI Securities, Ming-Chi Kuo has also acknowledged to Macrumors that Apple might release three iPhone X models. One will be a successor to the iPhone X with updated specs, an iPhone X with a bigger display, and a cheap version of the iPhone X. According to Kuo, the regular iPhone X might come with a 10 percent larger battery having a one-cell design. The bigger iPhone X will have the same two-cell battery but having a larger capacity ranging from 3300 to 3400 mAh.
Today a Japanese media Nikkei has released more info regarding the upcoming iPhone models. According to Nikkei, Apple’s cheaper iPhone X model will come with an LCD display in replacing the OLED display to save costs. To make the phone more cost friendly Apple will also replace the glass back with a metal shell.
Cheaper iPhone X Will Come in Multiple Colors
The Nikkei report also suggests that the cheaper iPhone X model will come in multiple colors and its screen will be 6.1 inches. The front will be similar to the iPhone X, yes, it will have a notch and minimal bezels. This also means no fingerprint scanner, the phone will rely on the Apple’s Face ID technology.
Yesterday, another report suggested that the bigger iPhone X model will come with a huge 6.5 inches OLED display and will provide 512GB internal storage. We can’t be sure about the display size of the bigger iPhone X as there have been different reports. Some rumors suggested 6.3 inches, some reported 6.4 and some saying it will have 6.5 inches. The report also suggested the bigger model will have dual SIM card functionality which will be a first for an iPhone.
