Huawei Mate 9 is the upcoming flagship phone phablet by Huawei which is scheduled to be announced on November 3 in Germany. Still, a lot of info has been leaked about different aspects of the phone. Earlier we got a rumor pointing to a dual camera setup on the back of the Mate 9. Now analyst, Pan Jiutang has confirmed that the Huawei Mate 9 will feature a 12MP + 20MP camera combo on the back. Mr. Jiutang claims that the Huawei Mate 9’s camera will be twice as capable of shooting great photos as Huawei P9 which is already one of the best cameras we have seen on a smartphone.
Mr. Pan Jiutang also mentions the possibility of an embedded fingerprint scanner on the device (We are not sure if he meant the sensor will be embedded directly into the display or the back of the device). From previous rumors we know that Huawei Mate 9 will come with a Leica-branded dual-camera setup, featuring 4X optical zoom. Some rumors pointed at two variants, the Pro version is rumored to come with 5.9 curved display. We have also seen a render showing the curved display and Leica branded dual-camera setup. Huawei recently announced its 64-bit Kirin 960 chipset with eight cores. The Kirin 960 is said to power the Mate 9.
A recent Huawei video teaser points to a larger battery with impressive quick charge technology. An earlier rumor also suggests that the top model with come with a ridiculous price tag of $1300 which if came true would be a disaster. While some of these rumors come from very reliable sources, some of them should be taken with a full bucket of salt especially the one mentioning the $1300 price tag.
