The reliable phone leaker Evleaks has shared an image of Huawei MatePad Pro, possible Huawei’s answer to the iPad Pro. The image shows a punch-hole display with very minimum bezels. A stylus and detachable keyboard can also be seen in the render.
Huawei MatePad Pro Image
The image shows a tablet with relatively narrow screen edges. The front camera is placed in a hole in the screen. We have seen the punch-hole display on various smartphones but not on any tablet. The screen has a 16 by 10 ratio, but further details are missing.
A stylus can also be seen in the image. Whether it will come with some special functionality is not known yet. There appears to be no place in the tablet itself, but the stylus appears to be clicked onto the side of the tablet by means of a magnet.
Fully Focused On Productivity
A keyboard cover can also be seen in the image. Whether this works with a magnetic connection is not clear, but that seems to be the case. We first saw the images of this tablet in October. It was also mentioned that such a connection was present.
The MatePad Pro comes on the market in two colors, black and white. The USB-C port can be found at the bottom and two speakers also appear. A dual-camera module is clearly visible at the back accompanied by an LED flash. The internal specs of the camera are not known yet.
All in all, Huawei seems to want to focus on productivity with the tablet. The tablet will be powered by Huawei’s most powerful Kirin 990 processor which should provide smooth performance.
Finally, the question is with which operating system the tablet will be launched. That uncertainty has to do with an imposed trade ban on Huawei. Most like the tablet will be launched with the AOSP version of Android without access to Google Play Store just like the Mate 30 Pro
Release Date And Availability
The current MediaPad M6 is also powered by a fast Kirin chip. Whether this MatePad Pro is the successor of that device, we do not yet know. Finally, nothing has been mentioned about prices or a release date.
