After a recent leak, little can be left to the imagination regarding the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro. Thanks to a new leak, we now have the most important specifications, accompanied by alleged official device renders.
Huawei P30 screen
First, the latest leak confirms various earlier rumors that the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro both will come with an OLED display, with the most premium version of the duo getting a 6.47-inch display with curved edges.
In addition, there is a change in the resolution of the screen. The phone will have a lower Full HD + quality of 2340 x 1080 pixels instead of a 3120 x 1440 pixel resolution.
The regular P30, on the other hand, has a slightly more compact 6.1-inch screen with no curved sides and also receives the same screen resolution as the Pro version.
Both devices visibly have fairly bezel-less except for a small chin. In the Pro version, the side bezels are almost nonexistent thanks to the curved display.
As you can see, on the
The P30 Pro on the other hand has no speaker grill at the top. It seems that the Chinese company has opted to use the display as a speaker similar to LG G8 ThinQ where a combination of vibrations on the screen produces sound.
Nevertheless, there is a chance that Huawei has placed the ear speaker a little higher and more unobtrusive at the top edge of the device.
Now let’s get to the back, which is perhaps even more interesting. As expected, this render also suggests that the regular Huawei P30 will have a triple camera arrangement at the rear. It will be a combination of a 40-megapixel lens with an aperture of f/1.6, supplemented by a 20-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.
The Huawei P30 Pro will come with a total of four rear lenses, including a primary 40 MP sensor with f/1.8, a Time of Flight sensor, a 20-megapixel wide-angle lens and a zoom lens with a periscope-like zoom system capable of 7, 8x optical zoom and up to 10x zoom without quality loss.
Both devices are equipped with laser auto-focus and dual-tone LED flashes.
Huawei P30 specifications
The Huawei P30 will contain a Kirin 980 under the hood in combination with 128 GB of storage space and 6 GB of RAM.
The Pro variant must go one step further with the same SoC, 8 GB RAM and the choice between 128 GB, 256 GB and 512 GB of storage. The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro will come with EMUI 9.1 on top of Android 9.0 Pie.
The Huawei P30 will come with a 3,650 mAh battery, while the more high-quality P30 Pro contains a huge 4,200 mAh battery. Both devices are expected to support 40W SuperCharge, which means the battery capacity is replenished in no time.
Both the phones will be IP68 water and dust resistant. According to earlier leaks, the P30 will have a 3.5 mm audio port, while the pro variant drops it for an IR blaster.
