While the Nokia’s launch event is still one week away where it will allegedly announce its first phone with a notch, live photos of the alleged device Nokia X has already leaked out. The device is already on display in Beijing. Looks like HMD is not hiding the phone anymore as the phone was spotted on a public display somewhere in Beijing.
There is no word on the hardware inside yet but expect the top-tier specs. It is obvious from the looks of it that this is going to be a flagship device.
The Nokia X or Nokia X6, whose exact naming is still not confirmed, was first advertised in China by HMD Global a few weeks ago, with a series of launch events over a week. Allegedly, the full announcement will take place on May 2, 2018, but apparently, HMD wants to attract attention with the public exhibition of the new Nokia X or Nokia X6.
Obviously, the Nokia X or Nokia X6 has a full view display with a notch for the camera, earpiece, and sensors at the top. The display is expected to be 19:9. Despite the notch above, the device does not come out without a narrow rim at the bottom but still better than the other Android notch phones. The back of the phone is also made of glass and it looks gorgeous with Zeiss optics dual-camera unit. The source says that depending on the model, either the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 or the MediaTek Helio P60 should be used under the hood, whereby the main memory should hold four gigabytes each but I doubt that. I see this as a flagship phone with Snapdragon 845 running the show.
The equipment also includes a fingerprint reader and headphone jack, while a USB Type-C port should be used to charge the device. As far as the size is concerned, there are no specific details, but the pictures allow for a few guesses. Apparently, it is an LCD panel that at least visually corresponds to the screen of the Huawei P20 Lite or Honor 10 and thus probably comes up with 5.84 inches diagonal and uses a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels.
