Use of this site

In this Privacy Policy, we describe what information we collect from you and how it may be stored and processed in the United States. We do not collect intentionally and process personal data from people under the age of 13.

What information we collect

The personal data that techdue collects about you is limited to the ones that usually appear on business cards. Thus, first name, last name, title, task, employer / company, address of work, e-mail to work, telephone to work. In some cases, we may ask you for additional information related to the work, such as company size and industry.

In order to deepen and/or update the information you provide to us, we may supplement it with work-related information or personal data we collect from third-party sources. The personal data that this document is about is the personal and work-related information that you provide, but also information we have obtained from third-party sources usually merged into a single registry entry.

This site also collects and stores certain information automatically using cookies and similar technologies, such as IP addresses, regions or areas where a computer is connected to the Internet, browser type, operating system, pageview history, and other usage information. 

Keep in mind that a cookie, to the extent that it uniquely identifies a computer, mobile device or tablet (summary device), or the person using the device, is considered personal if you are a EU citizen. Therefore, this privacy policy should apply to personal data collected by techdue.com.

How we collect personal data

We may collect your personal information when you register to obtain any of the products, content or services provided by techdue or its third-party sponsors (hereinafter “sponsors”) such as publications, subscriptions, contests, newsletters, memberships, premium content, webcasts, video, whitepapers, online seminars, conferences, and events.

What happens if you do not provide any personal information?

In order to deliver the products, services or content you request we need some personal information. So if you do not provide these personal information, we can not deliver the products, content or services.

How we protect your personal information

IT security for your personal data

Our measures include technical and organizational security measures aimed at protecting your personal data from loss, abuse, unauthorized use and access as well as unintentional disclosure, modification and deletion, and we require all third party organizations we contract to support our business to also apply reasonable security measures. (See “When and how we share your personal information with others” below.)

We update and test security on a daily basis and limit access to your personal information to those who need access to them in order to deliver our content or services to you.

Storing your personal information

Your personal data may be stored, through cloud services or other technologies, by third parties that techdue has contracted to support our business activities (see “When and how we share your personal information with others” below).

Such third party organizations do not process your personal data and do not have access to them except for cloud storage and access to techdue requires such third party organizations to apply at least the same level of IT security that we use to protect your personal information. (See “IT security for your personal information” above).

What we do with the personal data we collect

We use the personal information we collect to communicate with you, deliver what you have requested, improve our services, and provide other information and other offers that may be of interest to you.

To communicate with you

We may use your personal information to send important notices to you regarding such as your registration, transactions, and changes to the techdue Agreement, Terms, Policy, and / or other internal circumstances.

To deliver what you have ordered

We may use your personal information to deliver products, content or services that you have ordered. If you participate in a lottery, a contest or other promotional action organized by techdue, we may use your personal information to administer that promotion.

To improve our services

We may use your personal information for purposes such as auditing, data analysis and surveys to improve our content and services.

To provide offers that may be of interest to you

We may contact you to provide additional products, content or services that are from techdue or third parties and may be of interest to you.

The legal basis for our processing of your personal data

GDPR requires data collectors, such as Techdue and our third-party partners such as Google, to have legal grounds for collecting personal data about EU residents. This section is therefore applicable to all such personal data collected by techdue.

Techdue uses the personal information you provide to provide you with high quality products, content and services that you have requested to send important messages and internal purposes such as audits, data analysis and surveys with the purpose of providing you with the information which you need to make informed decisions about the purchase of information technology.  

We may also use your personal information to provide you with products, content, and services that may be of interest to you based upon the interests and preferences you have provided for us and we may share your personal information with third party sponsors of content, events and other services or offers.

The legal basis for our processing of your personal information is usually your consent. In some cases, we may process your personal information to complete agreements with you, and in other cases, when Techdue has a legitimate interest in doing so and Techdue does not violate any of your freedoms and rights.

When Techdue processes your personal data for Techdue’s own legitimate purposes, Techdue will consider and weigh every possible consequence for you and your rights in accordance with GDPR and other applicable laws. Our legitimate business interests do not overcome your interests. Techdue will not use your personal data in the context where your rights and freedoms are more important than our legitimate interests, unless we have your consent or are required to do so or are entitled to do so.

When and how we share your personal information with others

Techdue may share your personal information to deliver content and services from our websites, affiliates, and third party services that may interest you, including sponsored content and sponsored events, for business, and to apply applicable legal procedures.

If you are a EU citizen, Techdue will share your personal information with third party organizations outside of Techdue solely with your consent or to conclude an agreement with you.

For content and services that may interest you or as you have requested

We may also share your personal information with third parties in order to deliver third-party sponsored content or other services you have requested (see “Content and Event sponsored by third parties” below).

For business

We may also share your personal data with third party organizations that we have contracted to support our business, such as delivery, expediting, payment services, e-mail, unauthorized email addresses and data processing.

For content and events sponsored by third parties

Techdue collaborates with third party sponsors to provide our users with a comprehensive directory of content, such as whitepapers and events for industry professionals (on-site or online) as well as other services and offers. In exchange for giving us such offers, we ask you to provide personal information when registering.

We may use your personal information to send the offer you have requested. In addition, we may share your personal information with the sponsor or sponsors of the offer to communicate with you regarding the offer as well as any additional products, content or services that may be of interest to you.

Please note that as soon as we have shared your personal information with the sponsor, the sponsor’s personal information policy, including information on how to make your lure in the future, will apply to your personal information.

In accordance with applicable law

We may share your personal data if it is permitted by law or to comply with a current legal process.

On new ownership

If the ownership of the entire Techdue is sold or transferred, your personal data will be transferred to the new owner.

International data transfer

This section applies to all personal data collected by Techdue from residents of the EU.

If Techdue shares your personal information with any third party as specified in this Privacy Policy, and if your personal data will be transferred to a non-EU member state or EEA, or deemed to be sufficient protection of personal data of the European Commission, Techdue (as a personal data controller / personal data transferee) will complete such a transfer (to a personal data officer / personal data receiver) only if there are appropriate warranties, such as binding company policy, standard contractual clauses, approved codes of conduct or an approved certification mechanism. For more information, contact the Techdue Data Protection Officer (contact details are listed below).

How long we save your personal information

We keep your personal data for the duration of your business relationship with us, and we will retain your information only for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected unless we have received your consent to use it for anything else or the like purpose.

Your rights and choices

If you inform us that you want to delete your personal information (if you are an EU invader) or you wish we no longer communicate with you for marketing purposes or otherwise want to restrict Techdue’s processing of your personal information, we can keep some basic information to avoid sending you unwanted material in the future and to save documentation of your request and our response.
