Proven Skincare Uses AI to Personalize Skincare Regimens Like No Other Brand

Skincare is a billion dollar industry, in fact, bigger than $130 billion to be more precise. There are hundreds, maybe thousands of skincare brands manufacturing and selling skincare solutions. Each brand claims that their solution is the best. Most of these so-called skin care products just don’t work. Some skincare solutions work for some people while for many people they don’t.

In addition, our skin not only changes in the course of life but also within the year or even within a month. Sometimes it is dry, sometimes unclean, sometimes sensitive. Some people are prone to pigmentation disorders, others to progressive skin aging. No wonder that many women and men use the wrong skin care without knowing it.

In the last few years research has proven that the best approach to curing skin diseases is through personalized skincare. A great progress has been made in the personalization of skincare in recent years. The first step here is a detailed skin analysis to determine the current condition, taking into account the amount of moisture, seborrhoea, impurities, pigmentation, wrinkles, and pore size. Modern cosmetics are individually tailored for the customer and the active ingredients are combined accordingly but there is a newcomer in the skincare industry which seems to have taken skincare to a whole new level.

Proven Skincare Might Just Be The Right Answer to All Your Skin Problems

Proven Skincare is a new startup which is using AI (artificial intelligence) to determine the best skincare formula for people based on their skin type, skin condition, geographical location, ethnicity, age, gender, etc. It uses an AI engine to read through reviews of various skin care products. Proven skincare’s (Co-founder and CEO) Ming Zhao claims that the AI engine has so far analyzed a huge database of over 8 million product reviews, 100,000 products, and 20,000 ingredients. The AI engine uses advanced fraud detection algorithms to filter and disregard fake reviews.

The best part is that you don’t even need to go to visit a dermatologist to examine your skin condition. All you need to do is to visit Proven Skincare website and take a thorough quiz. The quiz asks you about your skin condition, depending on your selection you are asked the next question. For example, I chose Acne, the next question was that how often do I experience acne, then it asks about the skin type, skin tone.

After it knows about your skin condition, you are asked about your age, ethnicity, your habits like you sleep patterns, the amount of water you drink in a day etc.

The AI engine then matches your answer with “Skin Genome Project” which is a database of user reviews, product reviews, and the ingredients used in those products. The AI checks that how many people who shared the same skin condition as yours and which products worked for them. What were the ingredients in those products? The system then takes those ingredients and formulates a personalized skincare for you.

Personalized 3-Step Skin Care Formula

In my case, it formulated a 3-step system for my Acne.

  1. Cleanser = Infusion Cleanser + Skin Prep
  2. Anti-Polution SPF 30 = Serum + Day Moisturizer + SPF 30
  3. Night Repair Cream = Serum + Night Moisturizer

The system also reveals the ingredients that will be used in the three products and explains the function of each ingredients.

So far, I am impressed with how this system works. Whether it will cure my Acne is yet to be seen. I have an 18 years long history with Acne and nothing has worked for me so far. I am very much interested in trying out this one last resort.
