Samsung Galaxy S9 series phones are still a couple of months away and the leaks surrounding the Samsung’s upcoming greatest phone is now popping up in the leaks almost every day. According to the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will come in two variants, a regular S9 with a smaller screen and single camera at the back. The other variant S9+ will feature a bigger display and dual camera setup on the back.
Earlier we saw some third party renders from OnLeaks based on the leaked Samsung Galaxy S9 patent sketches. Today we have been greeted with real-life photos of the back and front covers of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. The photos show the front of Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. Another leak posted by a Weibo user shows the back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S9.
As you can see below, the photo confirms a single camera on the Galaxy S9 as the cutting has just enough space to house a single camera along with a fingerprint reader. The front panels of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ seem to be very similar to those of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ which gets us suspicious. It almost seems exactly the same panels as the cutouts are at the same place, the bezels are similar which contradicts earlier rumors that Samsung Galaxy S9 will have smaller bezels compared S8. We would suggest taking the 2nd leak with a pinch of salt.
What do you think of the presence of a single camera on the back of the Galaxy S9? Is it a good move retaining the conventional single camera setup on the S9 or is it a deal breaker for you? Had both the models come with a dual camera setup, which one would you prefer?
