Samsung upcoming flagship announcement date is yet at least a month and a half away and the leaks have already started pouring in. Earlier we heard that Samsung might release the Galaxy S9 phone in January next year at CES 2018 in Las Vegas. Now, we have new reports pointing to a January release. We also know that the Galaxy S9 will come with the Snapdragon 845 chipset under the hood for the US market.
Some leaks suggested that the phone will come with even fewer bezels. Today we might be able to see how the phone will actually look like thanks to VenyaGeskin1. The Twitter user is known for posting pretty reliable renders of phones ahead of their announcements. But, this time around Benjamin Geskin has posted a concept photo of the Galaxy S9. While we started to write this article as a leak as we first cited the photo but then we researched the photo and it turned out to be made from a hands-on photo of the Galaxy S8 by Arstechnica.
If this turned out to be the true Galaxy S9, we might have a great bezel killer phone in form of the Galaxy S9 with no notch or oddly placed selfie-cam. As you can see in the images below, the phone has very minimum bezels at the bottom and the side of the phone.
Note: The while writing the paragraph below I got suspicious about the nature of the leak so I looked it out in Google image search and found the image to be photoshopped.
The edges of the screen have a slightly more curve than the Galaxy S8 which makes us a little suspicious as Samsung has been minimizing the curve with latest models instead of increasing the curve. The bezels on the bottoms of the phones in the two images are not uniform as the phone in the second photo has a slightly larger bezel or it may seem like it due to the angle, it may also may due to the fact the second photo has been shot from a closer distance. Anyway, we should take these pictures with a pinch of salt despite the track record of the leaker.
